Responsibilities:

The Town Clerk’s office is here to serve the needs of the Town of Pine Plains. The Town Clerk is an elected four- year term, and has many varied responsibilities. The Clerk is the Record Management Officer and is responsible for the safekeeping of all Town records. The Clerk is the Registrar of Vital Statistics, who can issue marriage license and provide genealogy requests ( for birth, marriage and death). The Town Clerk’s Office can also help with obtaining conservation license ( hunting, fishing, trapping), dog licenses, handicapped parking permits, voter registration/absentee ballot, bingo/games of chance, peddling permits, Freedom of Information requests and others. The Clerk’s Office also provides notary services. Feel free to come in with any questions and the Towns Clerk’s Office will be happy to help.
